Raw materials:
(1) Galvanized steel wire: low carbon steel wire, wire diameter of steel wire is between 2.0MM and 4.0MM, and tensile strength of steel wire is larger or equal to 380Mpa. The surface of the steel wire will be hot-dipped galvanized. The thickness of the galvanization can be made by client's requirements. Maximum galvanization can be up to 300g/m2, mostly larger than 300g/m2.
(2) Zinc-5% aluminum-mixed rare earth alloy wire: This is a new material used in recent years. Corrosion resistance is 3 times than traditional galvanization. Wire diameter is between 2.0MM and 4.0MM. Tensile strength of steel wire is larger than 380Mpa.
(3) Galvanized coated steel wire: high quality low carbon steel wire
Steel wire surface will be coated with PVC coating and then woven into hexagonal wire mesh with different specifications. PVC coating will better protect the wire mesh in the places of heavy environmental pollution. Besides, PVC coating can make the wire mesh harmonize with the environment through different colors.
(4) PVC zinc-5% aluminum-mixed rare earth alloy wire: PVC coating will be sprayed on the surface of zinc-5% aluminum-mixed rare earth alloy wire, then made into hexagonal wire mesh. PVC coating will better protect the wire mesh in the places of heavy environmental pollution. Besides, PVC coating can make the wire mesh harmonize with the environment through different colors. PE can be painted on the surface of the steel wire. PVC has better ageing resistance than PE, but PE has more vivid color.
Weaving:
1)The sideboard, end plate and base plate are undivided except cover plate.
Length/Width common difference +5%
Height common difference +5%
Partition will be used to separate every 1m.
2)Gabions will be assembled. The cover plate, sideboard, end plate and base plate will be separately assembled. All parts will be tied up with screw wire. All edge wires of net cages will be bold to strengthen the intensity of the gabions.
Advantages:
(1) Flexibility
Gabions can adapt to modification or bending. When the ground subsides, foundation is out of shape or foundation of constructions subsides, gabion inside will be tightened and crimped to adapt to the external environment and not break.
(2) Permeability
As the gabion mesh has good drainage properties, we can miss the scupper if we use gabions on the water retaining constructions facing water-level fluctuation.
In the bank project, you can eliminate or reduce the stress (changing with the water depth) on the retaining wall. It is conducive to stability and security of the building.
(3) Low costs
We can obtain stones and cobbles from local sources in areas with poor transport facilities.
Compared with other projects, we need not to purchase a large number of templates and mechanical equipments. The corresponding project cost is lower.
(4) Speeding up the construction
When the foundation finishes, gabion constructions will be directly completed. We can reduce drainage costs. In areas without water, it will be completed after paving, filling with stones and strengthening. When constructing underwater, gabions can be pre-installed, and then hoisted in place, or shipped to the destination place.
(5) Easy to maintain
As built on the gabions, partitions will separate gabions into a separate cube. Just a part will be damaged when stones loosen caused by some cube. Maintenance is convenient because the partial damage will not easily expand. We just need to repair the damage, then we can continue to use.
